Montana Valley Eye Clinic is a small, independent comprehensive ophthalmology clinic located in Missoula, MT. For over 35 years, we have been dedicated to providing examination, treatment, and surgery of the eye to Missoula and surrounding communities. Our clinic is committed to offering exceptional eye care services to our community.

Role Description:

As a Medical Receptionist you will act as a direct point of contact for patients entering the clinic. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting demographic and insurance information, collecting copays, answering phones, preparing medical charts for appointments, and managing other tasks and projects as needed. If you demonstrate aptitude for clinical skills we may also train you as a backup for clinical testing. We emphasize teamwork and cross-training and will support you as you grow into your role.
Job Responsibilities:
Answering phones, taking messages and routing calls to the appropriate point of contact
Calling patients to schedule appointments
Preparing medical charts for appointments and filing completed charts
Entering patient demographic and insurance information
Verifying insurance eligibility and pre-authorization requirements for patient appointments
Collecting patient payments
Requesting prior medical records from other healthcare providers
Providing coverage for clinical staff performing medical tests
Managing other tasks and projects as needed
