The Impact You'll Make Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Product Application Engineer to join the Orbital Gear Solutions (OGS) Business Unit sales team. As a crucial link between Sales & Marketing (S&M) and the Business Unit (BU), the Product Application Engineer (PAE) handles technical product inquiries and takes ownership of specific products or product families. The PAE delivers technical solutions, documentation, support, guidance, and training to both the Danfoss team and customers. Additionally, the PAE contributes valuable insights to the Business Unit on potential product developments and options that enhance customer satisfaction. Prioritizing innovative solutions and prompt, attentive support is essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Act as a technical consultant for system application engineers (SAE), account managers (AM), and sales development managers (SDM) to provide our customers with the best possible solution for their machines.
- Take ownership of sales requests, coordinate with other departments to determine feasibility and communicate feedback to sales teams or customer.
- Plan and implement product trainings for our sales teams and customers
- Develop customer notifications for product changes
- Engage with engineering and the digital customer experience team to bring technical information and literature to life by creating the foundation for an interactive, easy-to-use platform.
What We're Looking For
Required (basic) qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering, technical sales or manufacturing
- English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical experience in the hydraulics industry or, more specifically, applying Low Speed High Torque motors
- Experience working with SAP, Teamcenter and Salesforce
- Spanish (written and spoken)
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience.
