THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Stocker has primary responsibility for proper placement of contractor-stocked merchandise.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The position is part-time and should expect a flexible work schedule. Must be available to work all possible shifts including weekends.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
· Dust merchandise and shelves as prescribed in the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS).
· Stock merchandise in allocated space matching UPC number on item to shelf label.
· Verify correct number of facing and rotate stock.
· Block all items as indicated in PWS.
· Identify and remove damaged items, tape label (if possible) to repair.
· Break down boxes and dispose of properly in accordance with PWS.
· Attends training seminars, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
· Responsible for maintaining training compliance in accordance with FRA policies and procedures, state and federal regulations.
· Performs other duties, as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
· One-Year experience in grocery stocking (preferred).
· Ability to stock commissary shelves at a minimum average of 65 (sixty-five) cases per hour.
· Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
· Physical effort includes stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
· Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes (i.e. warehouses, covered loading docks, garages, etc.)
· Worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: Fumes, orders, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
