Utility-Scale Solar & BESS Project Manager

(Senior PM Opportunities Available)

Location: Branchburg, NJ or Norton, MA

Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 + bonus

Schedule Options

• Traveling across the US – 75% travel (East & Central US) | 2:1 rotation - required 2 weeks on site 1 week home | Travel fully paid | $160/day per diem | Company vehicle & fuel card provided | company truck + fuel card
• Norton, MA – 50% travel | Weekly or bi-weekly | Travel fully paid | Relocation required to Boston, MA area ( relocation assistance provided)

About the Role

We’re hiring experienced Utility-Scale Solar Project Managers to lead large-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects from 50 MW to 100+ MW. Candidates can choose between two companies while performing the same critical project management duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of utility-scale solar and BESS projects: design → construction → commissioning → turnover
• Oversee contracts, budgets, scheduling, procurement, and resource planning
• Supervise project teams (Superintendents, Assistant PMs, subcontractors)
• Review drawings, quotes, scopes, RFPs, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy & compliance
• Track progress, costs, and provide monthly reports/forecasts
• Ensure permits, interconnections, and incentive paperwork are completed & closed out
• Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards on all job sites
• Coordinate logistics for materials, equipment, and site staffing
• Maintain documentation (correspondence, approvals, and As-Builts)

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering preferred (Civil/Construction Management considered with experience)
• 5–7+ years in utility-scale solar or renewable energy project management
• Proven team leadership and collaboration with owners, clients, inspectors, and trades
• Electrical knowledge preferred (racking, panels, inverters, AC/DC wiring, DAS, BESS, switchgear, NEC)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; project management software a plus
